My go-to RF meter is the Safe and Sound Pro II
Yup, a ridiculously long name. But over the last 4 years or so, it has never let me down. It is accurate, fast and sensitive. Before this, I had the Cornet meter which was pretty good, but not sensitive enough to pick up on signals that would still affect me. The SSProII is well built and worth the higher price. A lot of EHS, EMR-S people are using this meter because it is calibrated and sensitive while still being affordable. Get it straight from the folks who build them.
Extremely sensitive German ELF and RF meter
If I could use only 1 meter, it would be this one. It is a funky looking little thing. And it doesn’t have any numbers to read. But it can detect electrical fields and Radio fields with incredible sensitivity. Its sound function is amazing. Where the Safe and Sound Pro II bottoms out at a 0.000 reading, the Esmog Spion 5G will still clearly pick up sources like cell towers or very faint radio signals. It’s high sensitivity allowed me to create a silent living space as it picks up even the faintest electrical signals and with its sound signature reading, it gives me instant feedback about what I’m dealing with. There is a bit of a geek level appearance and because of the antennas it’s a lot harder to put away in your pocket, but if you’re serious about finding out what is going on in your surroundings, this is the one to get.
And while you’re at it, order the light sensor with it, which will allow you to measure flicker rates of light bulbs. Did you know that our eyes pick up the strobe like flickering of the LED lights and the brain has to smooth that out. Studies have shown that this kind of flickering can slow the brain down by 25%.

When you are going to make your head shield, I would go check out Anne Aster’s website. She has some excellent tutorials on making your own shielding. As a long term survivor, she knows what it takes to make effective protective gear. I have learned a lot from her videos.

About 13 years ago, my life took a dramatic turn. I’d been a lifelong geek — passionate about tech, always glued to my devices. But I started getting seriously ill. After some trial and error, I realized it was constant exposure to laptops, phones, and Wi-Fi that was making me sick. When I cut back drastically on the wireless usage, my health improved. But over the years my sensitivity progressively got worse.
Now, I can only go into town wearing full shielding — a cotton/stainless steel mesh suit that covers me head to toe — just to do basic errands. I’ve moved to a quiet valley, off-grid, where I live with 12V DC. I haven’t found a way to get better, but I’ve found that reducing EMF exposure to near-zero helps me avoid migraines and full-body inflammation.
Living in community while being electrosensitive is especially challenging. I love technology, but I had to learn how to use it safely. I now drastically limit exposure while still accessing many of its benefits.
The bigger challenge is people. Most don’t feel the effects of EMFs — at least not yet — so they assume it’s harmless. And with no support from doctors and limited data being tracked, most people simply aren’t aware. In shared spaces, especially with newcomers bringing in their wireless emitting gear, we’ve had to set clear boundaries in recognition of this prevalent addiction.
Stepping into a truly EMF-free zone lets people feel the difference — when the nervous system can finally exhale, and the body finds ease. I believe real EMF awareness will rise from people choosing health, clarity, and calm for themselves.
More people are waking up. I help where I can — sharing what I’ve learned. And I believe, if we keep building safe, creative, EMF-free spaces, we’ll be ready for the wave of awareness that’s coming.
Daniel Vasku from New Zealand and Director of Massachusetts for Safe Technology’s Cece Doucette co-host this fact-filled discussion for parents, guardians, grandparents, teachers, health care practitioners, school committees, administrators and IT personnel. All are welcome to come learn about today’s wireless radiation health risks at home and in schools, and walk away with excellent resources available to help us stay connected and protected TODAY! You’ll also discover why we don’t know, and actions taking place in the courts and legislatures to transition to safer technology. This kit has all you need to measure all forms of EMF. The Safe and Sound Pro II is the go-to RF meter that can register digital pulse signals down to the nanowatt. This meter was a game changer for me as it could pick up levels beyond that of my previous Cornet meter.
The EM3 Meter is incredibly important to measure electrical fields and magnetic fields of your home grid and things like magnetic fields in your car.
The plug-in dirty electricity meter will help you identify the levels of dirty electricity in your house and where to put DE filters.
The little AM radio is perfect to pick up on stray electrical fields of appliances and wiring in your house.
This kit is extremely effective and built with durable, precise devices that have been third-party certified and will offer you realistic levels of measurement. Yet it is still affordable compared to some of the professional kits. I would call this the prosumer kit for sensitized people that need to rely on their meters to create a safe environment.
